Agile Awards 2011 – Initial Nominations

Connections, the organisers of the UK Agile Awards, have announced the initial nominations for 2011, albeit the nomination process is still open.  To see the list of nominees so far, and to nominate others up until the 1st of July, click here.

It’s great to see that someone has nominated me for the Most Valuable Agile Player in the UK.  Thank you to whoever did that!  I won this award last year and it’s very flattering to be nominated for a second year in a row.

I’m delighted that IPC Media is sponsoring the Best Agile Team again this year. It’s something that is very close to my heart, as I personally believe that teamwork is the real key to success, regardless of what methodology you’re using.  And  especially so with agile, since it relies on such close collaboration.

I’m also excited to be one of the judges this year.  It’ll be fantastic to see all the spectacular things that agile teams are doing in the UK.  I can’t wait!

Not having worked with alot of these companies I’m in no position to judge but I would like to know hows the judging done? are you going to bbcdepartment of pensions etc to see what they do?
What’s the criteria? Are these projects delivery software to users on a weekly basis? Are their users happy? have the over achieved?

Are the winners going to presentations/blogs on how they’ve improved agile practices or what innovations they’ve come up with.

Are index cards really the best innovation this yr?
