Agile Prioritisation: Get More Bang For Your Buck!

agile development prioritisationA while ago I wrote about a fairly simple technique explaining how to prioritise quickly and intuitively

Following this blog post, I got into an email discussion with Scott Sehlhorst from Tyner Blain. He extended the idea brilliantly, which I blogged about. His idea was to make the approach more quantitive, using business value as one dimension and size/cost as the other.

Anyway, he promised to give the idea more thought, and he has finally got round to distilling it on his blog: “Plan Your Next Sprint By Bang For Your Buck!“.

As always, Scott has put a bit more intellectual horsepower into the idea and I think it makes very interesting reading…

“Kelly is an Agile heavy-weight. He came in to assess my multi-million $ Agile development program which wasn’t delivering the right throughput. He interviewed most of the team and made some key recommendations that, when implemented, showed immediate results. I couldn’t ask for more than that except he’s a really nice guy as well.”
