Martin Fowler: Can SOA Be Done With an Agile Approach?

Here is an interesting article summarising the tension between SOA and Agile – it touches on the concept of ‘Evolutionary SOA‘.  Are these two concepts compatible or do they fundamentally conflict?

    That was an interesting read.

    I think the last line sums it up “… A planned approach with the eye for evolution can lead to a much greater success”

    Therefore it is conflicting and compatible depending on the stage of development.
